Junior and Senior Infants
In the Infant’s room, we have been having lots of fun in the classroom. We painted our hands to make a classroom sign.We moulded hedgehogs from clay and painted them.We looked at Kandinsky’s paintings and created our own paintings, starting with a dot.We had lots of fun at Halloween and on Pink Day.We have been working hard learning our Jolly Phonics sounds, counting, singing, making instruments and learning how to be a good friend.
We welcomed 13 Junior Infants and 1 Senior Infant to our classroom this September. Everyone has settled in well. We have been learning about Autumn and Halloween over the past few weeks. We finger painted lovely Autumn trees and made spikey hedgehogs. We learned a Halloween song. We really enjoy our Friday discos and playground zones.
On the 11th November we have been invited to the Library at 11.00 for a Reptile Zoo event.
We welcomed 9 Junior Infants into our classroom: Sam, John, Polly, Lily, Andrew, Martin, Emily, Alex and Luisa. We also welcomed 2 Senior Infants: Patrick and Julian. Everyone is settling in quickly and enjoying school life.
We have been doing Aistear activities on Fridays, we get to dress up, create things in Junk Art, build with lego, make with playdough, pretend to be in a Café and dress up.
We learned about our five senses and did some experiments on what we could see, hear, smell, touch and taste. We all liked the taste of chocolate.
We created lovely flower pictures when we did finger painting in Art.
