We participated in Maths Week in October. We took part in an online Maths quiz. We tried some matchstick puzzles. Some of them were quite challenging. In PE we worked in groups to make various numbers. We took part in a zoom workshop ‘Adventure with Shapes’. It was brilliant. First we learnt how to make a möbius loop. Then we had to figure out how to cut out a square in less than 4 cuts. We managed to do it in 2 cuts. Now we know how to do it with just 1 cut!!!! MATHS WEEK We did lots of tangram challenges. They were difficult in the beginning but we persevered and got better with each one we completed. MATHS WEEK We went down to Mrs. Sharkey’s classroom to play snakes and ladders with the pupils in junior and senior infants. We had great fun.
